AGIFORS Aircraft Maintenance Operations 2020 Special Session 

has been scheduled for 1 June to 4 June 2020 in historic, beautiful, and exotic Muscat, Oman in conjunction with our host Oman Air.

This year’s conference is being organized once again in conjunction with the AGIFORS Airline Operations study group to promote a vibrant dialog on topics that touch these business areas. 


The topics include maintenance planning and scheduling, aircraft reliability, fleet performance, operational efficiency, asset management, spare parts planning, manpower planning and training.  We also discuss topics related to aircraft data management and predictive maintenance  


Come and share with us your ideas, thoughts, current trends, philosophies, and latest technological advances on any of the above topics. We look forward to seeing you this year in Oman!

Conference Overview

  • A forum for airline senior managers, airline personnel, vendors, and members of academia to review the most pressing issues facing aircraft maintenance operations today, offer potential operations research and analytics solutions, and provide opportunity for high level networking
  • Technical presentations from leading experts in the airline industry
  • Airline updates on the latest happenings and plans in the near term for new business processes, systems replacements and/or upgrades
  • Vendors exhibitions in the field of airline operations control, airport planning systems, crew management, and maintenance planning

You are invited to submit a proposal to present at the meeting. Share with us your ideas, practical innovations, current trends, case studies, and latest advances on the topics which are relevant to you.

  • Abstract Deadline: 1 April 2020
  • Draft Presentation Due: 22 April 2020
  • Final Presentation Due: 15 May 2020

Requirements

  • A 30 or 45 minute presentation
  • Willingness to tailor a presentation for the AGIFORS Airline Operations audience and to accept direction from the selection committee in doing this
  • Must register and attend the meeting


Registration

The registration fee includes conference technical materials (for delegates only), all scheduled meals and social events outlined in the meeting agenda. The registration fee is US$400 per airline/academic delegate, US$600 per industry delegate, and US$1000 per vendor delegate. Registrants can add a social guest for US$200 to attend social events only. A "social guest" is a spouse, partner, child, or friend and is not a business colleague.  A "social guest" may not attend the technical program.

We will re-evaluate the COVID-19 corona virus situation and the registrations periodically.  If we later have to cancel the conference, your registration and any sponsorships will be refunded in full.  Also, if you choose to cancel your registration any time prior to May 15, there will be no penalty for cancellation.

Vendor Program

Vendor Exhibition 


In addition to being a major forum for sharing new concepts and ideas in airline operations, the conference provides an opportunity for vendors to meet directly with airline delegates, provide in depth demonstrations, and discuss future opportunities, and partnerships. We have scheduled dedicated time slots for vendor presentations, and exhibitions.  


Each vendor delegate is required to register for the conference at a nominal registration fee. As a vendor delegate, you are entitled to a 10 – 15 minute slot in the vendor program to do a company overview and/or dedicated presentation. In addition, you will have access to a table top display in the vendor exhibition area.

Conference Keynote

The conference keynote address will be given at part of the joint session on Tuesday 2 June at 11:00 by Mark Breen - Chief Operating Officer (COO) Oman Air.


Mark Breen is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Oman Air.  He is an alumnus of Cranfield University and Harvard Business School.  He has been a top executive of a number of airlines in the past 12 years, first as COO of Sama Airlines, then Chief Operating Advisor of Cebu Pacific, COO of Al Maha Airlines, CEO of Flyadeal, EVP of Saudia Airlines, and now COO of Oman Air since last year.

On Wednesday afternoon we will have an outing to see the technical and operations facilities of our host airline, Oman Air.  After this, the buses will take us to enjoy a traditional Arab dinner in a wonderful local restaurant called Rozna, in a castle!
