AGIFORS is pleased to announce that applications are now open for both the 2026 Anna Valicek Award Competition and the 2026 Ken Wang Scholars Program!

The Anna Valicek Award Competition aims to recognize graduate students and recent PhD graduates conducting original and innovative research in the application of operations research to airline and airline-related business problems. Applicants are invited to submit their research papers for consideration.
Submission deadline: June 1, 2026.

The Ken Wang Scholars Program recognizes graduate students early in their academic programs (first or second year) who are interested in academic research in applications of operations research across various domains in the airline industry. Award recipients receive fully paid registration for the Annual Symposium held in the Fall (dates and location to be announced), along with the opportunity to meet senior researchers and practitioners working on real-world airline industry challenges.
